a sweet simple thing

standing on the cusp 
of what was and is to be.

unwind expectancy

from the cliffs ahead spirals a path,

urged by undulating ocean waves
we proceed together

the darkness
remains only a glimpse,
forgotten now,
in the light and new -
accepting we deserve 
the wonder and awe,
