the journey one undertakes is always longer
than the outcome which others see,
we must be
careful and slow
to judge someone
simply on the titles
they appear to have
or the labels
we place upon them.
it is up to them to decide what they will do in life,
who they will become.
each one of us have a responsibility
not only to treat our neighbours well,
but to live our own life
taking responsibility for ourselves
because no one else
can live our life
“the majority of those who died today were children --
beautiful, little kids between the ages of five and ten years old...
they had their entire lives ahead of them --
birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own.”
~ President of the United States, Barack Obama,
in reference to the tragic shooting
at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
